Tagum City: To host Sayaw Pinoy 2011
As part of the 2011 Philippine International Arts Festival Celebration, the City Government of Tagum and City of Tagum Tourism Council and in cooperation with the (NCCA) National Commission for Culture and the Arts - National Committee on Dance (NCCA-NCD) brings in Sayaw Pinoy 2011 in City of Tagum featuring the different dance disciplines.
Sayaw Pinoy is a dance project that features National based performing groups. The likes of the world champions, HALILI-CRUZ BALLET COMPANY, POWERDANCE of Douglas Nierras and the PNU KISLAP SINING DANCE TROUPE of the Philippine Normal University – NCCA’s Grand Prize Winner of 2009 Sayaw Pinoy National Dance Competition.
These dance groups will serve as the Ambassadors of Goodwill that promotes the preservation of dance culture and the dissemination of the art on dance making it more accessible to a greater number of audiences, especially the new generation.
So, inviting you to catch the NCCA dance concert—Sayaw Pinoy on March 12, 2011 with two shows (Matinee- 4:00PM & Gala- 7:30PM) at Trade Center Pavillion, City of Tagum, Davao del Norte, Philippines. Admission is free.
